Hi, I’m Jethro Heiko
I believe in the transformative power of grief to heal communities, strengthen movements, and inspire change. For over 30 years, I’ve been on a journey - from personal loss to collective impact - exploring how grief connects us to one another and to what matters most. Whether collaborating with organizations, consulting on strategy, or coaching individuals, my goal is simple: to help people and communities thrive amidst challenge and change.
When my father passed away during my college years, grief became a defining force in my life. It led me to ask big questions about healing, connection, and transformation - questions that still guide me today. Over the decades, I’ve worked with communities, movements, and leaders to explore the intersections of grief, grievance, and growth.
My North Star
My work spans 30 years of community advocacy, strategic consulting, and coaching. From planting urban food forests to organizing critical conversations about social change, my journey is one of learning how to use grief as a tool for personal and societal repair.
My Work
My Life
Today, I live in Philadelphia with my wife, Chelsea, our two kids, Orson and Hazel, and our dogs, Petra and Rue. When I’m not working, you’ll find me foraging mushrooms, collaborating with chefs, or exploring the deep connections between food, community, and sustainability.
Let’s Connect
Whether you’re interested in coaching, consulting, or collaboration, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s work together to create something meaningful.
